On June 5, 2023, IUB participated in the Bangladesh Education Expo 2023 organized by the Education Reporters Association of Bangladesh (ERAB) at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka.
Chief Guest of the program, Hon'ble Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP, alongside other senior officials from the ministry, visited the IUB stall. In addition, several hundred students from a number of schools and colleges from around the country also visited the IUB stall.
At the IUB stall, several IUB-grown exhibits were displayed including the Mars Rover that secured the first position in Asia and the sixth position in the world at the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2018 held at Utah, USA; the Gaming Arcade that enables users to play vintage video games like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, minesweeper, Mortal Kombat, etc.; the Dobot Magician, which is the world's first desktop grade 4-axis robot that can perform a wide range of tasks such as 3D printing, laser engraving, calligraphy and drawing; and a number of IUB publications.
Officials from different offices of IUB and representatives and students from the School of Engineering Technology and Sciences, School of Business and Entrepreneurship, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, School of Environment and Life Sciences and School of Pharmacy and Public Health.
From the IUB side, the activities at the event were jointly coordinated by the Admission and Financial Aid Office, Media and Public Relations Department, IUB Library, Division of Student Activities, and Facilities Department.
