Dr. Md. Kafiul Islam, an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) delivered a Keynote Speech on "EEG-Based Emotion Recognition for Depression Detection, Smart Recommender System and Neuromarketing, Their Current Status and Potential Applications in Social Media Context" at the EAI 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Machine Learning (EAI ICISML 2023) which was held during July 27-28, 2023 in Sri Sri University, Cuttack Odisha, India.
IVSP 2023 is sponsored by EAI – European Alliance for Innovation is a non-profit organization and a professional community established in cooperation with the European Commission to empower global research and innovation, and to promote cooperation between European and International ICT communities. There were five Keynote Speakers from around the world who presented their research works at the conference.
In addition, Dr. Kafi also served as one of the Technical Committee members at EAI ICISML 2023 and chaired a technical session where six papers were presented online. Dr. Kafi was also invited to deliver a Guest Lecture at the Gandhi Institute for Technology (GIFT) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India on July 27, 2023.
